| Lot 408 | A worksplate, HAWTHORN LESLIE, 3358, 1918, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST named VICTORY, new to United Alkali Co. Ltd, Sullivan Works, Widnes, Lancashire. The company became part of ICI General Chemicals Division in 1926. Later transferred to the adjacent Muspratt Works until 1931 when transferred to Gaskell-Marsh Works. It was still there in 1957 but disposed of later at an unknown date. Cast brass, 13"x8½", in ex loco condition. £150-300 |
