A cap badge for a Lancashire & Yorkshire and North Eastern Railway ships captain, from the Hull to Zeebrugge service which commenced in 1906. The service operated in the summer only by a single steamer, the LYR's Duke of Clarence. The service ceased in 1914. This design was used in 1906 only, later issues being smaller. Felt with gilt wire, 3¼"x2". £80-120 |
