| Lot 34 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 6969, from a 6959 Modified Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in September 1944 and named WRAYSBURY HALL in June 1947 after a country house at Staines in Middlesex, now the Clarendon Wraysbury Hall Hotel. Allocated to Cardiff Canton by January 1948, it moved in February 1958 to Didcot from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 20 February 1965 and cut up at Swindon Works. Cast brass, the front repainted. £1200-1500 |
