| Lot 242 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 6374, from a 43XX Class 2-6-0 built by Robert Stephenson & Co, Works No 3806, in May 1921. Allocated to Swindon by January 1948 and later Bristol Bath Road, St Philips Marsh, Didcot, Machynlleth and Shrewsbury from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 11 August 1962 and taken for scrap by Cashmores at Great Bridge on 8 January 1964. Cast iron, repainted. £300-500 |
