| Lot 165 | A smokebox numberplate 42129 from a (LMS) Class 4 2-6-4T built at Derby and allocated new on loan to St Albans on 1 December 1949. It moved north of the border the following month to Hamilton and later Polmadie, Motherwell and finally Beattock where it was used as a banking engine until withdrawal on 20 September 1965. It was sold for scrap to Motherwell Machinery & Scrap at Wishaw. Ex loco condition. £300-500 |
