| Lot 161 | A worksplate, VULCAN, 4597, 1934, from a LMS Class 5 4-6-0 No 5052, which became BR 45052. Allocated new to Crewe South on 12 November 1934, its later sheds included Rugby, Aston, Monument Lane, Tyseley, Stoke and finally back to Crewe South from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 30 September 1967 and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Great Bridge on 5 December 1967. Cast brass, 9"x5¼", in ex loco condition. £150-300 |
