A worksplate, PECKETT, 1703, 1926, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST that went new to Barnstone Cement Co, Ltd, Nottinghamshire. Named LANGAR after a nearby village. The company was taken over by G. & T. Earle Ltd, in 1942 and subsequently became part of Associated Portland Cement Manufacturers Ltd. Scrapped on site by Speck of Bottesford in September 1969. Engraved brass, 12¼"x8½", the front lightly polished. £200-350 |
