| Lot 54 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 9405, from a 9400 Class 0-6-0PT, one of the first ten of this large class built by the GWR at Swindon, the remainder being contractor built for BR, this example built in May 1947. Allocated new to Old Oak Common, it also had spells at Reading, Southall and Bristol Barrow Road from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 12 June 1965 and sold for scrap to T.W. Ward at Briton Ferry on 28 July 1965. Cast brass, the front repainted. £400-600 |
