A South African Railways cabside numberplate, 3522, together with its smokebox numberplate and unofficial nameplate ELBE, from a 3ft 6ins gauge Class 25 4-8-4 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 27382, in 1954 with condensing apparatus. Most had their condensing apparatus removed between 1979 and 1982, including No 3522, and were re-classified to Class 25NC. The cabside cast brass, 20¾"x14½", the front numberplate 17½"x4½", the nameplate 16"x5" each with brass characters, the front of each repainted.
