| Lot 462 | A smokebox numberplate, 90151, from a War Department Austerity 2-8-0 built to Ministry of Supply order by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 25035, in June 1943, WD No 77164. Loaned new to the LNER, it returned to the WD in December 1944, was loaned again to the LNER in March 1947 and taken into BR stock in December 1948. It spent all its BR days at New England from where it was withdrawn on 18 May 1963 and cut up at Doncaster Works. The front repainted. £300-500 |
