| Lot 380 | A worksplate, GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY DONCASTER, 1085, 1905, from an Ivatt Class C1 Atlantic 4-4-2 No 1409 which became LNER 4409 and survived into BR service although its allotted number 62839 was not actually carried. It spent all its working life at New England from where it was withdrawn in January 1950 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Fully engraved brass, 17¼"x9½", the front lightly polished, the back marked 4409. £900-1200 |
