A nameplate, VULCAN, with its matching worksplate MANNING WARDLE 1577 of 1902. From a standard gauge 0-6-0ST new to Ackton Hall Colliery Co Ltd, Featherstone, Pontefract, Yorkshire West Riding. Passed to the National Coal Board with the colliery in January 1947. Scrapped on site at Ackton Hall by Wakefield Metal Traders Ltd, October 1968. The nameplate cast iron, 24"x6½", the worksplate cast brass, 11"x6¼", both in ex loco condition though the 'V' of the nameplate has been cleaned. The worksplate retains its fixing studs.
