A worksplate, BEYER PEACOCK, 7690, 1954, together with its matching cabside numberplate, 705, 20, from a Rhodesia Railways 20th Class 4-8-2+2-8-4 Garratt which became part of National Railways of Zimbabwe in 1967. It was refurbished in 1981 and renumbered 730 and went, still operable, to Bulawaye Museum in 1992. Each cast brass 10½"x6" and 19¼"x13" respectively, the fronts repainted. (2) £500-700 |
