A worksplate, ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH, 1313, 1936, from a LMS Class 5 4-6-0 No 5258 which became BR 45258. It entered traffic on 31 October 1936 and spent most of its working life at Carlisle Kingmoor before moving in 1960 to Barrow and later Trafford Park from where it was withdrawn on 31 March 1968 and cut up by Drapers at Hull the following June. Cast brass, 8¼"x5", corner repairs, repainted. £150-300 |
