| Lot 328 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 9317, from a 43XX Class 2-6-0 built at Swindon in April 1932 and renumbered 7339 in October 1956. Allocated to Oxford by January 1948 where it spent most of its BR days with a final few months at Severn Tunnel Junction from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 13 June 1964 and sold for scrap to Birds Commercial Motors at Risca on 18 August 1964. Cast iron, the front repainted. £400-600 |
