Lot 313 A GWR cabside numberplate, 4901, from the 4900 Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in December 1928 and named ADDERLEY HALL after a country house near Market Drayton in Shropshire demolished in 1955. This was the first newly built Hall as No 4900 was rebuilt from the Saint Class No 2925. Allocated to Cardiff Canton by January 1948 and later Pontypool Road, Carmarthen, Stafford Road and Oxley from where it was withdrawn on 16 September 1960 and cut up at Swindon Works in the week ending 24 December 1960. Cast brass, the front repainted. £1000-1500
