| Lot 311 | A worksplate ROBERT STEPHENSON & HAWTHORNS, 7690 of 1952. From a standard gauge 0-6-0ST new to Dorman Long (Steel) Ltd, Cleveland Works, South Bank, Middlesbrough with the running number 4. Sold January 1962 to the National Coal Board for use at Wearmouth Colliery, Sunderland. Transferred to Hylton Colliery, Castletown for scrap in December 1966 and scrapped there by Thos. W. Ward Ltd in February 1968. Cast brass, 13"x8½", the front repainted. £200-300 |
