A worksplate, BRITISH RAILWAYS CREWE BRUSH/SULZER 1965, from Class 47 D1666, later 47081, 47606, 47842 and 47778. New to Landore in March 1965 and named ODIN at Cardiff Canton, the first of the class to be named. AS 47778 it was named IRRESISTIBLE and then DUKE OF EDINBURGH'S AWARD. Withdrawn from Toton in March 2004 and cut up by EMR at Kingsbury in March 2006. Cast aluminium, 13"x6½", the front repainted. £300-500 |
