| Lot 264 | A smokebox numberplate, 45404, from a LMS Class 5 4-6-0 No 5404 built by Armstrong Whitworth, Works No 1459 and allocated new to Crewe North on 27 August 1937. Its later sheds included Rugby, Willesden, Speke Junction, Longsight and Trafford Park from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 6 May 1967 and taken for scrap by Cashmores at Great Bridge on 11 October 1967. Repainted. £300-500 |
