A nameplate THE ROYAL DRAGOON from the LMS Royal Scot Class 7P 4-6-0 No 6153, later BR 46153, built at Derby in 1930 and named in October 1931 after the famous cavalry regiment. Allocated new to Crewe North, its later sheds included Longsight, Edge Hill and Bushbury with a final three months at Annesley on the Great Central from where it was withdrawn on 22 December 1962 and cut up at Crewe Works by 31 May 1963. Cast brass, length 48", the front repainted. £8000-10000 |
