| Lot 181 | A worksplate, HAWTHORN LESLIE, 2789, 1912, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST which was new to The Lambton & Hetton Collieries Ltd. at Lambton Colliery, County Durham where it was numbered 12. In 1924 this company became the Lambton, Hetton & Joicey Collieries Ltd. Passed to the NCB with the railway in January 1947 and continued to work at Hetton colliery and other locations on the Lambton Railway. Transferred to Dawdon Colliery around the beginning of 1960. Scrapped there by J.A. Lister & Sons Ltd, December 1967. Cast brass, 13"x8½", the front repainted. £150-300 |
