| Lot 175 | A (GWR) cabside numberplate, 4179, from a 5101 Class 2-6-2T, the last of the class built at Swindon in December 1949. Allocated new to Newton Abbot on 2 December 1949 it moved in April 1961 to Stafford Road and later Oxley and Tyseley from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 27 February 1965 and sold for scrap to GC at Kingsbury on 4 May 1965. Cast brass, the front repainted. £500-700 |
