A worksplate, No 2089, DONCASTER, 1951, from a (LMS) Class 4 2-6-0 No 43144 allocated new on 5 September 1951 to South Lynn where it spent most of its early years before moving to Stratford in March 1959 and later Boston, New England and Barrow hill from where it was withdrawn on 11 April 1965 and taken for scrap by Cashmores at Great Bridge on 7 July 1965. Engraved brass, 12¾"x6½", the front lightly polished. £300-500 |
