A worksplate, ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH, 1392, 1937, from a LMS Class 5 4-6-0 No 5337 which became BR 45337. Allocated new to Blackpool Central on 30 March 1937 and later Newton Heath, Bank Hall, Low Moor, Agecroft from October 1947 until August 1963, Southport and Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 6 February 1965 and despatched for scrap to Woodham Bros at Barry on 25 November 1965 from where it was rescued for preservation and now resides at the North Norfolk Railway. Cast brass, 8¼"x5", the front lightly cleaned, a neat repair to the right bolt holes, almost invisible. £150-300 |
