| Lot 61 | A smokebox numberplate, 60886, from a LNER V2 Class 2-6-2 No 4857 built at Darlington in November 1939, renumbered 886 in 1946, becoming BR 60886. Allocated by January 1948 to Heaton where it spent most of its working life with brief spells at Tweedmouth and Gateshead before moving in December 1962 to York from where it was withdrawn on 10 April 1966 and sold for scrap to Clayton Davie at Gateshead. The front repainted. £500-800 |
