| Lot 465 | A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 5246, COWLAIRS, 1891, from a North British Railway Class C 0-6-0 No 45 which became LNER J36 Class No 9045 and was renumbered 5246 in 1946, becoming BR 65246. Allocated to Polmont by January 1948 and later Grangemouth and Parkhead from where it was withdrawn on 11 January 1962 and cut up at Inverurie Works on 2 February 1962. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front repainted. £200-350 |
