A smokebox numberplate, 47385, from a LMS Class 3F 0-6-0T No 16468 built by Vulcan Foundry, Works No 3956, in 1926. Renumbered 7385 in 1934, it became BR 47385. A long time Edge Hill engine, it moved in 1958 to Bescot and later Monument Lane and Nuneaton before spending a final twenty months as a shunter at Wolverton Works from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 28 March 1964 and taken for scrap by Cashmores at Great Bridge on 14 October 1964. The front repainted. £250-400 |
