| Lot 433 | A smokebox numberplate, 44596, from a LMS Class 4F 0-6-0 built at Derby and allocated new to Crewe South on 17 November 1939. Becoming BR 44596, its sheds were Northampton, Workington, Stoke, Carlisle Upperby, Buxton and Sutton Oak from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 17 August 1963 and cut up by T.W. Ward at Barrow on 25 July 1964. Repainted. £250-400 |
