A worksplate W.G. BAGNALL, 2766, from a standard gauge Austerity 0-6-0ST numbered 75178 which went new in January 1945 to the War Department at Longmoor Camp, Hampshire. In May 1945 it was transferred for service in France, returning via Dover in May 1947. In July 1947 is was sold to the NCB and entered service on the Treorchy Railways system in Glamorgan as No 2. When the Treorchy system closed in 1970 it was transferred to the Maesteg Railways system. Subsequently passed into preservation in March 1977 and currently located on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway in Cornwall. Cast brass, 8"x5¼", in ex loco condition. £150-300 |
