| Lot 400 | A worksplate, LONDON NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY CO, No 1666, DONCASTER, 1927, from a LNER J50 Class 0-6-0T No 1081 in the 583 series (J50/3) new in March 1927, renumbered 8969 in 1946, becoming BR 68969. A long time Bradford Bowling Junction loco, it moved in January 1958 to Low Moor from where it was withdrawn on 22 February 1960 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Fully engraved brass, 13¼"x7¾", the front lightly polished, the back in original condition stamped 1081. £150-300 |
