| Lot 377 | A worksplate, DUBS, 3360, 1896, from a 3ft 6ins gauge Cape Government Railways 4-8-0 No 723 which became part of the Central South African Railways in 1902 and part of South African Railways in 1910, becoming SAR Class 7A No 1006. Many of the Class were still at work until the late 1960s but all were withdrawn by 1972. Cast brass, 12½"x5½", the front cleaned but unpainted. £250-400 |
