A Mashonaland Railway cabside numberplate, 112, from a 9th Class 4-8-0 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 21475, in 1917 for the Beira & Mashonaland and Rhodesia Railways which became part of Rhodesia Railways in 1927. This loco was one of four of the class not reboilered and all were sold to the Zambesi Sawmills Railway in 1963-4. It was still in service at Livingstone in 1973. Cast brass, 19¼"x13", the front repainted. £300-500 |
