Great Central Railwayana Auctions Sale 267, Auction Lot 34 Lot 34
An LSWR three aspect handlamp, with brass makers plate JOHN & EDWIN WRIGHT, UNIVERSE WORKS, LONDON & BIRMINGHAM, also LSWR Co embossed brass plate and location plate NEWTON TONEY. The station was on the branch to Amesbury and Bulford which closed to passengers in 1952. The spelling was altered to Newton Tony in October 1903. The lamp is complete and probably repainted. £150-300
