| Lot 336 | A worksplate, SENTINEL, 9371, from a standard gauge 100HP chain-drive geared steam locomotive supplied in 1947 to Sheffield Corporation Electricity Department at Neepsend Power Station, numbered N2. Later became Central Electricity Generating Board. In 1965 sent to Thomas Hill (Rotherham) Ltd, Kilnhurst, Yorkshire where the frame and wheelsets were used in the building of a Thomas Hill Vanguard diesel-hydraulic locomotive, the steam parts being scrapped. Cast brass, 5¼"x4", in ex loco condition. £80-120 |
