A combined nameplate and numberplate, No 5 RHODES, from a 4-6-0 tender engine built by Kitson & Co, Works No 4244, in 1903 for the Shire Highlands Railway in Malawi, one of three of this type built for the Railway, the others being No 3 Salisbury and No 4 Livingstone. It became Nyasaland Railways B Class and was saved for preservation but later scrapped. Cast brass, 21"x8½", in ex loco condition. £400-600 |
