| Lot 301 | A smokebox numberplate, 48623, from a LMS Class 8F 2-8-0 No 8623 built to Railway Executive Committee order by the Southern Railway at Ashford in 1943, becoming BR 48623. Allocated new to Perth on 3 December 1943 and later Westhouses, Leicester MR, Nuneaton, Birkenhead and Sutton Oak from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 8 October 1966 and cut up by Drapers at Hull in the week ending 11 March 1967. The front repainted. £250-400 |
