A worksplate, SHARP STEWART, 3727, 1891, from a London Chatham & Dover Railway R Class 0-4-4T No 204 built in October 1891. It became part of the South Eastern & Chatham Railway as their No 663 in January 1912 and was reboilered in October 1915, becoming SR 1663 and BR 31663. Allocated to Gillingham by January 1948, it moved in February 1953 to Faversham, returning three months later to Gillingham from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 20 June 1953 and subsequently scrapped. Cast brass, 15¾"x8", in ex loco condition. £300-500 |
