| Lot 271 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 6664, from a 5600 Class 0-6-2T built by Armstrong Whitworth, Works No 952, in September 1928. Allocated to Cardiff Cathays by January 1948 and later Barry, Southall, Slough, Oxford, St Philips Marsh, Didcot and Aberdare from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 14 December 1963 and sold for scrap to T.W. Ward at Briton Ferry on 28 February 1964. Cast brass, the front repainted. £300-500 |
