| Lot 266 | A worksplate, ROBERT STEPHENSON & HAWTHORNS, 7813 of 1954, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST which went new to Associated Portland Cement Manufacturers Ltd, Holborough Chalk Quarry, Snodland, Kent, named TUMULUS. In 1972 it moved to the adjacent Holborough Cement Works where it was scrapped in August 1974. Cast brass, 13"x8½", the front repainted; the wording has circular Os instead of the more usual oval style. £150-300 |
