| Lot 257 | A (GWR) cabside numberplate 7907 from a 6959 Modified Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon and named HART HALL after the Hall in Oxford which is attached to Hertford College. Allocated new to St Philips Marsh on 5 January 1950, it spent almost its whole life there and the other Bristol sheds, Bath Road and Barrow Road, moving at the very end to Oxford from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 4 December 1965 and taken for scrap by Cashmores at Newport on 6 July 1966. Cast brass, in ex loco condition. £1000-1500 |
