| Lot 255 | A worksplate, BEYER PEACOCK, 1915. Judging by the deceased vendor's collecting interests, this is most likely to be South African. The only locomotives Beyer Peacock supplied to South Africa in 1915 were Class 14B 4-8-2’s 1746-1760, Beyer Peacock 5877-5891, although some are listed as 1914. In 1915 Beyer Peacock also supplied locomotives to most countries in South America, together with The Netherlands and one to Ireland. Cast brass, 9¾"x5¾", the front repainted. £100-200 |
