A nameplate, NIM, together with its matching number plate, Lysaght’s Scunthorpe Wks No 12. Both from a standard gauge 0-6-0 diesel hydraulic, Sentinel 10108 of 1963 which went new to John Lysaght’s Normanby Park Steelworks, Scunthorpe. Became British Steel Corporation in July 1967. Overhauled by Thomas Hill at Kilnhurst in 1977 and transferred to Tinsley Park Works, Sheffield in 1978. Subsequently operated as a hire locomotive by a number of companies until scrapped by EMR at Kingsbury in August 2017. (2) £350-500 |
