A nameplate, INVINCIBLE, from a LMS Jubilee Class 6P 4-6-0 No 5715 built at Crewe and named when new on 3 July 1936 after the Royal Navy battlecruiser built in 1907, becoming BR 45715. It spent most of its career at Carlisle Kingmoor with a final few months at Bank Hall from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 29 December 1962 and cut up at Cowlairs Works. £6000-8000 |
