| Lot 495 | A worksplate, HUDSWELL CLARKE, 648, 1903, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST supplied new to the Bold Venture Lime Co. Ltd, Chatburn, near Clitheroe, Lancashire. Named KING EDWARD. Sold around 1938 to Thos. E. Gray & Co. Ltd, Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire. Sent to Hudswell, Clarke, Leeds for repair in October 1948, but these were not completed and the locomotive later scrapped. Engraved brass, 12½"x8", the front cleaned. £200-350 |
