| Lot 493 | A South African Railways cabside numberplate, 3404, 25NC, from a 3ft 6ins gauge SAR Class 25 4-8-4 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 27290, in 1953 with condensing apparatus. Most had their condensing apparatus removed between 1979 and 1982, including No 3404, and were re-classified to Class 25NC. Cast brass, 20¾"x14½", the front repainted. (See also next lot) £350-500 |
