| Lot 469 | A worksplate, BUILT BY AND ON LOAN TO LONDON NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY Co, 1945, DARLINGTON WORKS, No 1949, from a Stanier type 2-8-0 No 8543 built by the LNER to Railway Executive Committee order and loaned new to the LNER from January 1945 until March 1947 when it was transferred to the LMS, later becoming BR Class 8F 48543. Allocated to Coalville by January 1948 and later Wellingborough, Toton, Westhouses, Heaton Mersey and Newton Heath from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 12 February 1966 and despatched for scrap to TW Ward at Beighton on 6 May 1966.
