| Lot 444 | A nameplate REMUS together with its matching worksplate, HUDSWELL, CLARKE, 1399, 1920, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST new to John Summers & Sons Ltd, Shotton Steelworks, Flint. Sold in 1948 to Wolverhampton Corrugated Iron Co. Ltd, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. Sold again in April 1954 to Cudworth & Johnson Ltd, locomotive dealers and hirers of Wrexham and immediately sent on hire to Rea Ltd, Duke Street Wharf, Birkenhead. It was later hired to various other shunting contractors in the Birkenhead dock area until withdrawn in August 1965 and scrapped in April 1966. (2) £600-800 |
