A smokebox numberplate, 34011, from the Southern Railway West Country Class Bulleid Light Pacific No 21C111 TAVISTOCK built at Brighton in October 1945, becoming BR 34011, one of the Class which was never rebuilt and retained its streamlined casing to the end. Allocated to Exmouth Junction by January 1948, it soon moved to Plymouth Friary and later Nine Elms and Exmouth Junction from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 9 November 1963 and cut up at Eastleigh Works in the week ending 11 April 1964. Ex loco condition, the Eastleigh triangle cast on the back, two weld repairs expertly undertaken. £1500-2000 |
