A smokebox numberplate, 60862, from a LNER V2 Class 2-6-2 No 4833 built at Darlington in June 1939, renumbered 762 and then 862 in 1946, becoming BR 60862. Allocated to New England by January 1948, it moved in March 1950 to Kings Cross where it remained for fourteen years before returning briefly to New England from where it was withdrawn on 16 June 1963 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Ex loco condition. £700-1000 |
