A nameplate, COUNTY OF DENBIGH, from the GWR 1000 County Class 4-6-0 No 1012 built at Swindon in February 1946 and named the following July after the Welsh county. Allocated to Old Oak Common by January 1948 and later Laira and Swindon from where it was withdrawn on 24 April 1964 and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Newport on 29 September 1964. 78"x19½", ex loco condition. £7000-9000 |
